A total of 52% of the Boholanos said they’re working but 41% are not and only 8%, unpaid family worker. In Tagbilran city, 49% are working and another 49% not working. Third district had the biggest working Boholanos with a total of 54% while 41% not working and 5% are considered “unpaid family worker.”
Farming/agriculture still the number one reliable source of employment at 19%. Others are Laborer, 12%; Vendor, 10%; Government employee, 9%; fish/aquaculture, 9%; private employee and transport services, 7%; education and construction worker, 5%; cottage industry, 4%; business (buy and sell), technician, househelper and sales staff, 3%; and beauty care, artist, lawyer, engineer, machine operator and manager/supervisor, 1%.
