TAGBILARAN CITY – Police operatives in this city led by police chief PSupt. George Acol Vale scored another feat in “Oplan Banat” to get rid of illegal drugs peddling here. A certain John Paul Tubio Loquias, alias “Cords,” 33, single a native of barangay Songculan, Dauis town but presently residing at Benigno Aquino street, barangay Booy in this city, ended up in city lock-up jail after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation.
Loquias is facing criminal charges for violation of sections 5, 11 and 12 of Article II, Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, also known as Republic Act No 9165, police said.
Seized from Loquias were: one piece transparent cellophane sachet believed to be containing shabu; three Five-Hundred-peso bills as marked money used in the operation; three pieces of heat-sealed transparent cellophane packs also believed to be shabu granules; six heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu; five pieces of improvised scoop; one piece improvised glass pipe tooter; four pieces disposable lighter; one piece scissor; one pack of transparent cellophane containing several pieces of empty transparent cellophane sachets; cash amounting to Php2,750 bills in different denominations; and one piece black wallet, police said.
Barangay Captain Eutorgio Telmo, Jr., and Kagawad Neil Malaya of barangay Booy media representative Cesar Capngpangan of DyTR, Dept. Of Justice representative Saturnina Baricuatro witnessed the inventory at the place where the suspect was arrested, police said.
The arresting police officers that composed the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Group (CAIDSOTG) were SPO4 Yolando M Bagotchay, Jr., PO2 Ignacio Inojales, PO2 Richie Lovete, PO2 Gary Labial, PO1 Bart Paredes, PO1 Ray Neil Bibat and PO1 Maris Aldrin Gabuya in coordination with Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agancy (PDEA), aside from chief Vale.
