TAGBILARAN CITY.Another man was shot dead in broad daylight yesterday by still unknown assailants who were riding in tandem, witnesses said. Police identified the murder victim as one Arnold Espinoza, 22, a native of Talisay City, Cebu. He was fatally hit in his head as can be seen on his lifeless body bathed in blood near the gate of Garden Café restaurant along J. S. Torralba street, this city yesterday. The crime scene is just a stone-throw away from the city police station, DyTR learned just minutes after the shooting. Police said that they?re still no cue as who pulled the trigger and the motive of the murder. Details of the crime have yet to be completed as of past 9 PM last night, police said. Police said that Espinoza, a suspect of theft, has been released just few minutes from city lock-up jail before he was host dead. Espinoza was freed when a complainant, whose identity was not divulge by the police, did not filed formal charges against him because the latter (complainant) already recovered his belongings.
Police said that following his release, Espinoza was waiting for her live-in identified as one Jessel Encarnacion of legal age. Just minutes after the fired shot, usiseros jampacked around the dead body that police find it cordon the area as traffic snagged. Theft in the city during the month of November had the highest with 68,
higher than past months. January posted a total of 35; February, 44; March,
53; April, 47; May, 57; June, 49; July, 58; August, 59; September, 46; and
October, 43, police record showed.
On robbery in the city, the month of January had 17 cases; February, 16;
March, 32 (highest); April, 23; May, 16; June, 19; July, 17; August, 20;
