City Councilor Atty. Alexander Aleckoy Herrera Lim, 63, died on Oct. 31, 2014 at past 2 PM at Chong Hua Hospital, Cebu City because lingering ailment. City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Veloso confirmed this in an interview by Manlalaban sa Katawhan program over DyTR anchored by veteran radio commentator Bob Galero. Atty. Lim passed away after his fellow city councilor Atty. Oscar Butron Glovasa died earlier. Atty. Lim is survived by his wife, Elsie Trabajo-Lim and children, Koykoy, Alissa and Kitloy, who are all successful in their respective careers.
Vice-Mayor Veloso expressed his condolence with his family and the Sangguniang Panlungsod he chaired. Atty. Lim’s passing is great loss of SP, Vice-Mayor Veloso said. Atty. Lim is a successful law practitioner. He was the former provincial board member during the stint of then Governor Constancio Nonoy Chatto Torralba. Meanwhile, there are now two vacancies of the city council membership after the demise of both Atty. Lim and Atty. Glovasa.
Said vacancies will be flled up by members of the political parties they’re affiliated with, VM Veloso said. Atty. Lim is a Liberal partymate like City Kag. Betty Torralba, who made it under the Atty. Dodong Gonza-VEloso team in 2013 local election. Atty. Glovasa, on the other hand, was Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) stalwart who won in last year?s election under the Dr. Abraham Lim-Atty. Jas Montes ticket.
