PANGLAO, Bohol, Dec. 16 (BNT) – A cow has delivered a rare sight — not one but three calves but unfortunately the third one died before it can come out of the womb, said the owner’s daughter. To Alasagas family in Purok 2, baragay Tawala of this town who owns the cattle said this is atypical. Provincial veterinarian Dr. Bing Lapez said in interview last night that this is not new since they (at Provincial Veterinarian Office) have already seen one before.
Only two (calves) survived with their mother, Erma Alasagas, 25, the 10th child of 17 siblings of Crnelia Alasagas, 57, widow and owner of the livestock. The Alasagas have been in the meat business for the last or more than 20 years. In fact, Erma Alasagas said, they maintain a meat stall in public market here. Right now, they have 17 heads of cattle for the same purpose. The Alasagas is one of the families affected by the planned construction of New Bohol Airport.
