CALAPE, Bohol – Former Vice-Governor Julius Caesar F. Herrera dismissed news report that he is gunning for governor again come May 2016. How would they that know that I am running, he told Bohol News Today during an exclusive interview with him during the fiesta celebration of this town yesterday. The former vice-governor appeared to be reacting to news report that he has to throw his hat in the general elections next year considering that Vice-President Jejomar Binay is expected to file his candidacy for the highest position of the land.
VP Binay is his brother in the Apha Phi Omega fraternity. He said that after the 2010 elections the people voiced their choice, saying what is the point of running again. He expressed dismay over an election when voters frowned upon a candidate because he has no money for “inangayan” how come a dedicated public official serve them best. But that has been a practice, he added.
The former vice-governor received and welcomed his guests like Rep. Aris Aumentado and several municipal mayors as well as his friends, fellow lawyers and political loyal adherents at his residence here. Meanwhile, a lady “balikbayan” who hails from one of the towns in third district is being groomed by the incumbent vice-governor to run for provincial board member in the forthcoming elections next year, reports said.

If the “balikbayan” is anointed to be one of the four board members to run under the Liberal Party, then one of the incumbent provincial board members of the district would be eased out, Capitol source said.
Another source said that the “balikbayan” wanna-be has been with the vice-governor in her sorties in the towns and barangays in the third district especially this fiesta season.
It was not immediately known who would be kick out of the LP slate for board members.
