PANGLAO, Bohol – Combined agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and police here yesterday arrested a foreigner, believed to be pushing an alleged illegal drugs in this town. PDEA identified the suspect as one Conor Paul Maguire, 33, and Irish based on the passport confiscated. He is presently residing in barangay Tawala in this town. He was put behind bars in this town and the confiscated alleged shabu substances are subjected to laboratory examination, PDEA agent Chona Egam said in an ambush interview.
Based on the Certificate of Inventory obtained by DyTR yesterday evening. The suspect (Maguire) violated Section 5, Article II of R. A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The inventory showed the following: one (1) pack big self-sealed plastic pack containing dirty white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu” marked with signature of the poseur-buyer; two (2) pieces five hundred peso bill with serial Nos. EB313364 and EQ527196 with initials RF at placed on top of the would be One Hundred Twenty Thousand pesos bundle money; one (1) unit USB mini speaker brand Salza; one (1) box of EMS parcel; Three Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy pesos (Php3,870) in different denominations; and one (1) piece of Euro bill; One (1) piece Irish passport.
Other paraphernalia sequestered from the suspect included one (1) black wallet containing one piece tourist ID card and two (2) debit cards; one (1) unit Amazon kindle; one (1) unit CKK mobile phone; and one (1) unit Next mobile phone, the inventory showed.

There were no details on how the suspect was arrested as the PDEA appears not keen in giving the details of the story.
One of the onlookers said she saw one of the agents she did not identify collared the suspect after he claimed a box sent to him (suspect) through the Post Office in this town. The suspect was then handcuffed and his single motorcycle was placed impounded and under the custody of the PNP here, she said. (rvo)
