LOON, Bohol – Can anybody be held liable and pay for damages for her nephew Archie Cambangay of barangay Jandig of this town, who was electrocuted at the height of tropical storm “Seniang,” Felipa Relampagos Villadolid, 54, aunt of the victim, said. Villadolid together with other relatives are mourning of the death of Archie Cambangay, 16, whose remains are placed in his coffin in this barangay. The other victim of electrocution was identified as Argie Brillos, a native of Ubay but electrocuted in Loon, Villadolid said in an interview the other day.
She said that the duo (Cambangay and Brillos) just came from Christmas party when reaching in fishpond areas they happened to step on a live wire.Other fatalities were Paula Opay of Baclayon, Vicente Butlig of Sagbayan, Maricel Torniado of Taytay, Getafe and Roberto Mansalay, 40 years old of San Ramon, Sagbayan, report quoted Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Manageent Council.
Archie Cambangay is already an orphaned, Villadolid said. He is survived by his brothers Arnold and Arnel and JG Ann, she said.
The provincial government of Bohol has declared the entire province under a state of calamity following “Seniang” that wrecked havoc in damages of infrastructure and agricultural farms.
But there was no official word yet as to how much is the total damage wrought by “Seniang.”
In Jagna town, meanwhile, some 279 families were evacuated to safer places particularly, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council showed posted on its website.
The internal displaced person (evacuees) are from the barangays Cantagay, Can-uba, Bunga Mar, Can-upao, Kinagbaan, Laca, Larapan, Looc, Tejero, Alejawan, Tubod Monte and Mayana.
