TAGBILARAN CITY – Bohol Environment Management Office (BEMO) bared a lot of areas in the province that are vulnerable to landslide in anticipation
of the onslaught of Ruby. BEMO officer-in-charge Samuel V. Racho relayed the advisory during the meeting of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) presided over by Gov. Edgar Chatto on Friday. Racho cited the findings of the threat advisory issued by the Geohazard
Mapping and Assessment teams of the Mines and Geo-sciences Bureau (MGB) 7 that conducted flood and landslide assessment of areas in the province. Rated high in susceptibility to landslide include the following: Barangays Anonang, Inabanga; Ilaud, Bago and Cantones, Buenavista; Camias, Sampoangon, Calape; Esperanza, Carmen; San Miguel, Danao; Pangian, Pasong, Cagwang and Malbog, Garcia-Hernandez.
In Loboc, a lot of areas that are considered as high in landslide vulnerability. These are in the barangays Candaseg, Candabong, Bagumbayan, Bahian, Buenavista, Cambanse, Candasid, Gon-ob, Jimilian, Gotozon, Poblacion Ubos, Ugpong, Valladolid, and Villaflor. Others are barangays Tiwi, Katipunan, Catam-is, Tubuan, Bugho and Pondol, Loon; Boctol Mayana, and Bangwalog, Jagna; Ilaud, Pilar; Bagacay, Sierra-Bullones; Adlawan, Montevideo, Nueva Vida Este, Alegria, Buenavista and Monte Hermoso, Carmen; Candabong, Linawan and Badiang, Anda; Cabantian and Basdio, Guindulman; Gambane, Candijay; Angilan, Ilaud and Lundag, Duero; and Cagongcagong, Alicia.
Barangay Bonbon and Poblacion Norte Clarin town are the only areas having a high in coastal flooding vulnerability, MGB said. Under ?moderate? prone to landslide are the barangays of Magkayo, Inabanga; Nueva Montana, Nueva Granada, Buenavista; Magsaysay, Talibon; Canguha and Candungao, Calape; Abehilan, Baryong Daan, Masong, San isidro; Villaflor, Nueva fuerza, Carmen; Hibale, Cabatuan, Carbon, Cantubod and Caluasan, Danao; Hambawan, Lila; Kabankayan and Ginopulan, Dimiao; barangays Cupa, Basiao, SAcaon, Candulao, Antipolo, Abijilan, Tabuan, Togbongon, Catmon, Candanas and Estaca, Garcia-Hernandez; and barangays Payahan, Dasitam, Tanday, Don San Juan Buenavista, all in Baclayon.
Barangays Oy, Bugho, Alegria, Cabadiangan, Calunasan, Camayaan, Pob Ondol, Sawang, Quinoguitan, Taytay, Tigbao and Bagumbayan, all in Loboc; Calvario, Tayong Oriental and La Fortuna, Loay; San Isidro, Pagnitoan and Jandig, Punta Cruz, Maribojoc; Cabug, Tubodacu, Moto Norte and Moalong, Loon; Balili, Boyog, Tuobd Monte and Odiong, Jagna; Cansungay Inaghuban and La Suerte, Pilar; barangay La Salvacion, Carmen; Caluasan and Isidro, San Miguel; Talisay, Katipunan and Buenasuerte, Anda; Tabunok, Lundag, Mayuga and Biabas, Guindulman; Del Monte and Untaga, Alicia; and Canawa and Tubod, Candijay. Racho has recommended that this list of areas vulnerable to lanslide be disseminated to the municipalities concerned.
