TAGBILARAN CITY.The island municipality of President Carlos P. Garcia
(CPG) appears to the lowest among the towns that contributed funds for
police operations in its respective turf, a list released during the
Talakayan sa Isyung Pulis (TSIP) on Monday showed.
It only gave an amount of PhP7,080 for this year to its PNP?s PhP120,000 or
a combined amount of PhP127,080, the list revealed.
Overall fund appropriated by PNP for its operations amounted to
PhP11,491,641 plus 48 local government units (including this city) of
PhP12,897,574 or a combined of PhP24,389,216.22 for the entire year.
This city allocated a total of PhP2,505,600 to city PNP?s PhP750,087.
Mabini town has earmarked PhP506,000, considered the biggest, augmenting
the police?s PhP240,000 budget or a total of PhP746,000, the list said.
The said list also showed that Provincial headquarters?s fund amounted to a
total of PhP1,892,762,500; PPSC, PhP620,000; and BTPU, PhP490,000.
