ANTEQUERA, Bohol – A person who has been missing for almost three days after the onslaught of tropical storm “Seniang” on Dec. 29, 2014 has been found dead, Mayor Mario Pahang told Bohol News Today last night. Mayor Pahang said that the identity of a female has yet to be certain, but he said her family name is Tambis of barangay Tupaz. Her remains were believed to drifted and recovered in nearby town of Cortes where the Abatan river overflowed. The mayor did not yet give details nor who recovered the remains of the dead female.
Tambis death has been added to other six fatalities as a result of the the storm. Archie Cambangay, 16, of barangay Jandig and Argie Brillos, a native of Ubay were all electrocuted when they stepped on a live wire when the storm struck Loon town, Felipa Relampagos Villadolid said in an interview.
Other casualties were Paula Opay of Baclayon, Vicente Butlig of Sagbayan, Maricel Torniado of Taytay, Getafe and Roberto Mansalay, 40 years old of San Ramon, Sagbayan, report quoted Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Manageent Council. On the same vein, Mayor Pahang confirmed that the bridge in barangay Tabuan has collapsed as a result of the flashflood spawned by “Seniang.”
This isolated the residents of the barangay, he said. But relief goods provided by the provincial government have been delivered yesterday.
