TAGBILARAN CITY – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) operatives in close coordination with police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) based here have seized an alleged shabu supply in what it called “interception” operation in a drive inn in this city yesterday afternoon.
The NBI, in its inventory sheets, identified the suspected drug runners as Mark Joseph T. Abuyabor and Yancy Chan Goloso. Both were collared during the said operation at 3-A Travellers Inn, barangay Cogon, this city yesterday at past five PM.
Confiscated from Abuyabor were the following items: one piece heat sealed plastic with shite crystalline substance; one piece lighter; one pack of assorted drug paraphernalia; one piece plastic tooter and one piece of cellphone (MyPhone).
The following items: 2 packs containing white crystalline believed to be shabu estimated to be Php50,000 apiece; 7 packs of heat-sealed sachets with similar substances; one lighter; 2 steel clips; one piece weighing scale; one pack assorted drug paraphernalia; three pieces of receipts; and three pieces of cellphones were seized from Goloso, inventory sheet showed.
Media representative Willy Maestrado and DOJ representative Florabel Arcamo witnessed the inventory signed by Atty. Arcelito Albao, supervising agent of the NBI.
NBI said that they have been monitoring the movement of this illegal business. It said that the owner of the inn has been apprehensive of their customers, including those arrested.
It also said that the source of the shabu supply are the cities of Pagadian and Muntinglupa in Metro Manila.
It added that illegal drugs trade has proliferated more in the entire province than other provinces. (rvo)
