TUBIGON, Bohol – The slay of Liberal party supporter the other day cost the relief of police chief here, report reaching BNT said.
Chief of Police Officer-in-charge Fernando Peroramas of this town is slated to be replaced by unnamed police officer from Cebu, the report said.
Police spot report said that a follower of the LP who served as an emcee during party gatherings was gunned down on Saturday dawn by still unknown assailants.
Amado Reyes Nitollama, Jr., alias “Badong,” 51, married and a resident of barangay Macaas here was shot dead while sleeping.
His wife, Alicia, told police that her husband was shot dead while she and him were sleeping at their house. Nitollama was wounded on his head that resulted to his death.
The wife said that her husband arrived home at dawn after a caucus for mayoralty bet former mayor William Jao in barangay Pinayagan Sur.
Police said that the victim was shot through the window from the outside.
Police could not yet establish the motive of the killing while the investigation is going on.
Jao’s camp claimed the slay of Nitollama appeared to be politically motivated.
Unconfirmed report has it that officials here wanted this town to be placed under the election watchlist areas (EWAS).
