TAGBILARAN CITY – City police operatives have arrested the suspects in the recent robbery of an internet café in this city.
In a hot pursuit operations, police led P/Supt Geroge Acol Vale, acting city police chief, yesterday morning nabbed the suspect identified as one Dennis Lungay Go, 36, and resident of no. 48 Gallares street, barangay Poblacion II while playing illegal card game with his companions in purok 5, barangay Booy.
The footage of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) of the robbed Web Ideas Internet Café located at CPG north avenue led the arrest of the suspects, police report said.
Seized from the suspect’s possession were a sachet of suspected to be shabu, a scissor and cash of Php210 as pot money for the card game.
Also arrested were Jayson Egie Pugoy, 21, single and resident of barangay Inaghuban, Pilar, Bohol; Eriksen Canlas Albasin, 47, anyos, married; Cres Balayo Ipanag, 36, married; Jimboy Lanzaderas Adelante, 21, all residents of purok 5, barangay Booy, this city. Also arrested was a 17 year-old, who is said to be one of the suspects in the robbery based on testimony of one internet attendant Glenn Torres, single and a resident of barangay Ubujan.
The suspects carted away Php2,500 cash from said internet café owned by REgil Bayonas, 35 and a resident of barangay Taloto in this city, after the robbery took place at around 11:14 PM the other day.
Prior to the robbery, the suspects used the computers and even paid their dues to the internet café they preyed on. They ended up in city jail and face charges to pay their dues in crime they allegedly commit.
Meanwhile, suspects of the robbery of Alvas Food Processing along CPG avenune facing Putong National High school are still unknown and remained scot-free.
The lone robber who is at his late 30’s held one food attendant identified as Jason Montoya, 19, at gunpoint. The suspect was able to bring some Php14,000 cash from the attendant who handed over the money.
Prior to the heist, the suspect had ordered cooked chicken and cups of rice. He escape via a motorbike parked nearby, police said. (W/ Ern pahayahay’s report)
