LILA, Bohol – Pacific Angels 15-1 volunteers started the six-day Health Services Outreach with an array of services held at the gymnasium in this town yesterday. Liza Flores, in-charge of the special project of the governor’s office said in interview that the mission provided services in optometry, dentistry, physical theraphy, general medicine, pediatrics and others with free medicines.
Vice-Mayor Eb Raut said in separate interview that prior to the medic mission launching, a short program was held at the municipal hall here to welcome the visitors. Mayor Regina Salazar led officials in the reception of the visitors along with Gov. Edgar Chatto, he said.
Flores also said that aside from the medical mission, the foreign engineering volunteers in coordination with provincial engineering team took to Calunasan, Loboc town for rehabilitation of schools destroyed by earthquake in October 2013. The medical mission aims to treat 500 patients everyday till August 22, 2015, Flores said. An probably, she said, would-be beneficiaries from neighboring towns of Loay and Dimiao may be accommodated.
